Doug Spindler is the Assistant Director Treasury Services at the City of Burnaby, where he oversees the investment portfolio, letters of credit bonding and deposits, banking, merchant services and cash management policies and daily operations.
Prior to joining the City of Burnaby in 2000, Doug gained extensive finance and banking knowledge working at reputable financial institutions such as VanCity Credit Union, the Bank of Nova Scotia and the Bank of Hawaii. Over his extensive career, Doug supported clients by providing core wealth management services through financial planning, portfolio investment management and core banking services. Doug supported bank staff in the capacity of a Branch Compliance Officer for the mutual fund sales team and through providing sales and service training.
When not at the municipal hall, you can catch up with Doug in the great outdoors of beautiful British Columbia, biking, hiking and skiing with his family and friends.
